No more braces!!

On Monday I got to visit Dr. Nauman's office and have my braces removed! 6 months early! With my sister's wedding just around the corner I wanted to be able to ditch my metal mouth for pictures because they will be around for a lifetime. Fortunately Dr. Nauman agreed that they were able to come off early.

I scheduled my appointment for the crack of dawn (07:00am!) who does that? So my lovely alarm went off at 05:30am and I headed down there. I have to admit her popping of each of the little brackets was the weirdest feeling ever. Then the grinding of the glue off my teeth yuck! Anything with my teeth I swear feels so weird.

Dr. Nauman is also going to perform a gingivectomy later on in April to remove excess gum tissue and expose more of my teeth. I'm so looking forward to that procedure, not! I do have to say that I am very happy with the results of the braces and wearing them for 18 months was worth it. I also am super happy that I was able to get them off before the wedding.
